Our students are given the opportunity to have 100 minutes of organized Physical Educational weekly. With the four balls we currently have in our classroom, it isn't enough. The P.E related materials in this project are going to keep the students physically active, engaged, and having a load of fun! Let's go into detail with some of the materials in this project! Each equipment is intentionally chosen to help with students' gross motor skills, increase their physical activity, teach teamwork, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Gator balls are a fun and safe alternative to your typical dodgeball. We will not only get to play dodgeball but a few other games as well! Combine these balls with hula hoops and we have castle ball and hoopla! Students work in teams to either destroy opponents castles made of hula hoops or take balls from another team's hula hoop. Did you know that jumping rope is one of the most effective cardio exercises? Well now you do and I have added some jump ropes to our project. If funded, I see some jump rope competitions in the near future! The rest of the materials will help them with eye and hand coordination as well as keeping our materials organized!
