I teach English, History, Ethnic Studies and Personal Development at a unique middle school near the California/Mexico border. Much of the student population I serve qualifies in extreme risk categories -beyond socioeconomic factors and free and reduced lunch. It is our primary goal to offer a safe and rigorous educational realm for students who are often underserved in the traditional school system. My mission is to provide project-based learning based in social justice and community involvement to students that almost never have the opportunity to learn with so much freedom and endless possibilities.

About my class
