In my elementary physical education classes I will use the iPad to effectively assess my students learning. I will be using the "Plickers" application through this iPad to quickly scan my student's answers on health and fitness assessments. There are several advantaged to this. First, student responses to physical education questions will give me and my students immediate feedback on what they have learned. The results of using this technology will allow me to effectively plan for future physical education lessons because I will know the learning needs of my students. Second, all scanned responses are automatically stored and graded, and can be used to create assessment reports for students and parents. Third, using this technology in physical education assessment will help maximize learning time of students, as it is a simple and efficient way to check for student cognitive understanding of physical education concepts.
