I work in a classroom that consists of 7 students with severe to profound disabilities, all who are non-verbal. They come from diverse backgrounds. My students love to have a great time and interact with others. We have been fortunate enough to have an ongoing research project to help develop communication skills for our students. They use adapted switches, partner-assisted scanning, PODD books, and a variety of "core" books for communication. The progress our students have made since the research project began has been astounding. These are children who are eager to learn and your generosity can go a long way towards getting the most out of our students.
