This year it is my goal that all of my students will keep their work neat and organized in binders. I have found that this approach will keep students' work neater and all together. Most of my students should be able to obtain these materials, but some will not due to money issues. English language learners need to be acclimated to a new language by reading, writing, listening, and speaking. By having students work together in groups they are able to deeply engage in concepts by expressing their thoughts in creative ways. I hope to use the anchor charts and markers to allow my students work together in groups. The whiteboards will be used as a way for students to collaborate and work together as I check for understanding. Middle school students will often become frustrated if they make a mistake in their work. Whiteboards will be a great way for students to work on problems in a less stressful manner. They will also allow me to check for understanding of the whole class so I keep all students accountable .
