We are in a very unique situation in that we have all kindergarten students in our building. When I think about the impact and the role each of us plays in the lives of all of the students we educate year after year, what comes to mind is the building of a house and all of the staff members of Mussulman have the most critical job in building that house which is laying a strong foundation. We are the builders of the future and the next phase of construction started on Sept 7th. Currently we have 283 students enrolled. Our student body is made up of 103 African American students, 5 Asian students, 20 white students, 132 Hispanic students and 23 multi-racial. Of those 283 students 83% are economically disadvantaged.

About my class
