Often times history becomes a boring lecture over names and dates. But, in the modern age, students need an environment that challenges them beyond their recitation skills. Even in our cell phone culture, the possibilities are still limited by the reality of school budgets. So many of the kids that I teach only have reliable connection to technology at school. While this generation is thought of as the technology age, there is serious gap in technological understanding specifically with high poverty students (for which I have many). The only way that I can combat this is by making technology readily available in my classroom and teaching the students to become comfortable with using technology. This is the future of education and I need your help to make it possible for my classroom!
