I work at a Title One, majority minority, junior high school in South Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. My students are some of the most creative and energetic young people I have had the pleasure to teach. Because of this, I strive to make my teaching and my methods as bizarre as possible, to not only keep their attention, but to ensure they know it's okay to be weird. As a Reading/English teacher, my students abhor the idea of reading when they first enter my classroom. However, as the year progresses, and through methods of my madness, the majority find passion in their books and love it more with every turn of the page. I want to keep that alive for years to come.
