The students that I work with have needs that go beyond the traditional student. While getting ready for testing, we are in need of pencils that will accomodate a quiet testing environment. Mechanical pencils are best for the students we are working for. The ear plugs provide them with an opportunity to block out the sounds of paper rustling and distractions that are common in testing situations. For the students that need frequent breaks, a comfy place to sit will allow them to have a moment of silence in an effort to bring themselves back into a mindset that is ready for testing. By providing headphones to the students that can not afford their own, we will provide a way to connect to technology and learn in a quiet environment.
