My classroom is comprised of second grade students in a highly low-income area. The challenges some of them face just getting to school are heart breaking. My classroom is the representation of what I feel is the American Dream. Most of the students are first generation from Latin America, Asia, and even as far away as Africa. For many students this may be their first time in a school! I have parents that just want a better life for their children and have come to our great nation to do this; I am honored to have the privileged of educating them. This being said with all great responsibilities comes a great price tag. Please help us gain the self-esteem and confidence we need to be all we can be.

About my class
