My students love modern music. Their faces light up as they groove and sing along to songs they recognize. The enthusiastic reaction is universal, from the exuberant "I KNOW this song!" from the Kindergarteners to the more subtle head nod and smile of the Sixth Graders. Many of my students lack the access to the technological tools and instruments at home that would allow them to make the kinds of music that excite and engage them. Our school is made up of wonderful, inquisitive, and energetic students from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Patterson International offers the International Baccalaureate PYP Programme to all of our students, with a focus on inquiry and international-mindedness.
