Having the Mr. Terupt book series in my class will give the students the opportunity to read an exciting, continuing story, together in class. We will read book one, Because of Mr. Terupt, together during the first nine weeks of school. During the second nine weeks we will read, Mr. Terupt Falls again. The third nine weeks we will read book three, Saving Mr. Terupt. Finally, we will close out the final nine weeks of the school year reading, Goodbye, Mr. Terupt (scheduled for release in October.) This book series is incredibly entertaining and engaging to every student I've known to read it. This series has the ability to increase or create a passion for reading, and the effectiveness to help a class bond together over reading a great story together. Finally, this class set of books will be shared among three 6th grade ELA teachers, positively impacting a total of up to 250 students in just one school year and many more to come! Thank you for considering my request!
