The students at my school come from varied backgrounds, but most of them come from poverty. The area around the school can often be a poor environment with recent shootings in the area that have frightened many of the children. Despite the hardships they have to overcome, the students and teachers at my school have worked hard to make the school a Success School.The students have also made Adequate Yearly Progress as defined and required by No Child Left Behind. A majority of the students are dedicated to learning and being successful despite what they have to overcome.
