My students are hard workers with curious minds. They are a diverse group of learners. My students come in at the beginning of the year with a wide range of knowledge. I have students who are just beginning to learn what numbers are as well as students who are able to add and subtract in their heads. I also have students who cannot yet speak English as well as students with cognitive and learning disabilities. I need to be able to meet the needs of all of these students as well as challenge them.
