Students in kindergarten tend to have shorter attention spans and benefit from a variety of materials to learn core concepts. Providing my students with an array of different hands-on activities can help them to have multiple exposures to a core concept and find the best way for them to learn. STEM is a growing field and industry that many students don't get exposure to at home, due to lack of resources. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I want to provide experiences and exposure to STEM based learning to help give my students the foundational skills in those concepts. These activities will help them to learn not only our core curriculum standards but also skills they can build upon and use later in life, such as robotics and coding.
