Several of my students with special needs struggle to hold a pencil or complete paper-based assignments and assessments. They need the ability to complete them on a touchscreen device such as an Ipad. My students will use the Ipad during independent centers to practice various skills. They will also use it to take various assessments including their Star reading and weekly assessments. They will be able to use it to research various topics related to our unit of study. We can also use it to communicate with other students around the world to learn about different cultures. It will also be used for remedial support on various skills.
