My students have the opportunity to compete in the Stock Market Game. Through the game, they get virtual money to compete in the Stock Market. I had students participate for the first time last year and they actually won second place in our district! Many of our students do not know what the stock market is or that they could make money from it. I even learned about it through the students participating last year. Because we have many students who live in poverty, they do not know about all of the opportunities they have. The Stock Market Game allows them to learn things they may not learn about in other classes.
