This year, seventeen students entered my classroom. Each has different abilities. Each has a different learning style. There is a large population of special learners in this class. Our school is a Title 1 school and a majority of the students are eligible for free or reduced lunch. Many of the students live in one-parent households. The predominant economic base for our community lies in the military employment. Due to current cut backs in our military base, the entire region has had an economic setback.
