My class needs reading materials, such as books and games, for the classroom. I am requesting everything from BOB books to sight word and letter games anything that will engage my students in learning to read as well as reading on their own. BOB books are a favorite of my students. I have 2 sets and they love them. I challenge my kids to learn the Fry's first 100 words by the end of the year but many cannot practice them at home. So I give them sight word stations. I've made a lot of things but they grow bored of them. I'm looking for something to engage them. They read the BOB books to themselves as well as with me during guided reading groups. Students in each group will have their own copy and be able to practice reading it with me, with a partner, as well as independently. Having engaging books and games at their level will encourage them to read, build their confidence, and lead to that feeling of pride!
