I teach kindergarten in an ICT classroom, in which students living with disabilities learn alongside their typically developing peers. I teach in Harlem in New York City with a fantastic intervention specialist named Clare (we go by our first names in our school). We have 18 students who are all unique, extraordinary learners. Students in our classroom own their learning. We play. We engage in authentic learning experiences. We belong to a community in which each student has a niche and a voice. We believe in the ability our students to share and embrace their experiences and to create their own meaningful learning. We believe that with the appropriate balance of nurture, struggle, provocation, and joy, our students will change the world. Nothing without joy. --Loris Malaguzzi
