BOOKS, BOOKS, and MORE BOOKS! You can never have enough books! Our small library is in need of new up to date books, more specifically non-fiction ones. Our goal is to get more books into the hands of our fresh learning readers (K-1). I plan to put together take-home book bags for the few summer months they are away from school. This way over the summer they will still have books on hand to keep up with their reading and help with the "summer slide". During the summer months, over two months of reading achievement is lost. Making parents aware of this and the importance of reading during those summer months it can help teachers having to re-teach.

About my class
