Imagine walking each day into a classroom filled with engaging and exciting books! Imagine a place where you can read and get lost in books each day! The students in my room WANT to read,but need more books to quench their thirst! A classroom library is the heart of the learning community! This classroom library would include a long white shelf with a variety of bins and boxes filled with to the brim with books. Each bin will be for a different theme or series so that kids can quickly find books that they love. We will use these books EVERY. DAY. during our literacy block of Reading and Writing Workshop. The books in our classroom support our writing as well. We are beginning to identify different authors and to try out different styles of writing. More books will give us a way to expand upon this!
