I teach in a school that is made up of a mixed socio-economic population. With the change in the economy and students moving out of poorly performing City schools, we are now seeing more students who are primarily below the poverty level. These students qualify for Free and Reduced lunch. Many times students come to school with little to no supplies. While many of my high school students have access to the Internet for research and typing papers, few have access to paper and printers to actually print off what they are writing, let alone access to technology that allows them to become 21st century communicators! This project will allow these students to become better communicators for the 21st century by using communication tools that they will have access to in the real world.

About my class
