Kindergartners love exploring their world! They are just beginning their education journeys and they thrive from hands-on activities that keep them moving and learning. Giving students opportunities to express themselves through art is one way to build our classroom community because we learn to appreciate and respect each others creative processes. Art is not only an expression of each students creativity, it is also a way for families to engage in meaningful conversations about their masterpieces. Students learn so much from art and gain valuable experiences with it. The fine motor skills for writing are essential and through beading, coloring, and painting, students little fingers grow stronger! Also, having crayons that represent a student's identity helps them feel part of our community. Art is one of the best ways we can encourage students to show us who they are!
