My students are in an elementary school small group classroom. They are beautiful and unique, and face significant challenges that impact their ability to participate fully with their peers. Each child has sensory needs and behavior issues. We do some inclusion throughout the day, but they spend most of their day in our self-contained classroom. They range in age from kindergarten to 5th grade, some have limited language ability and others are completely non-verbal. We focus on communication and behavior in order to support academics.

About my class
