My 2nd grade students use Chromebooks every day to practice reading, writing, math, science and social studies in the classroom. Because they are still learning to read, many of the programs they use read the directions out loud to them. As you can imagine, it is very loud and distracting for students when every Chromebook is reading different directions. This project would significantly help my students stay focused and engaged on their own learning while using their Chromebooks in class! With a class set of headphones, each student would be able to listen to the directions on their own Chromebooks without being distracted by their neighbor's Chromebook. This would help each student make more progress on their own academic path.
