Kindergarten students will be able to tell stories through their artwork and show their family culture by creating faux "stained glass" art depicting their families' winter holiday celebrations using colored Sharpies. Their artwork will be displayed for the whole school community to enjoy and connect through. First grade students will explore a range of emotions found in art like Picasso's blue period. They will then be able to express their own feelings that they experience in their own art by making expressive mood paintings. Second grade students will learn about architecture and how architects design buildings to be both aesthetically pleasing and functional. They will sculpt their own three- dimensional architectural designs out of clay.
