Mathematics is my passion; I hope to inspire students' love, respect, and appreciation for mathematical concepts. I work in a low income and low performing school. Many students have been advanced from year to year without mastering their basic skills. They have significant educational gaps walking into my 9th grade class. Without a calculator, many of my students struggle to multiply 2 times 3, and fractions are like a foreign language. I teach Foundations of Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry. Foundations of Algebra is a skills recovery course for students who are not on grade level. An important subject of life, I strive to make math and success synonymous for my students.
