My goal for requesting the Lakeshore Instant Reading and Writing Learning Center is to promote independent practice of the following reading and writing concepts; word families, phonics, contractions, reading comprehension, verb tense, sequencing, writing sentences, capitalization and punctuation. I want to provide my students with new learning centers and books to promote their love of lifelong reading! The four sets of leveled readers I'm requesting for our classroom library will provide my students with variety for independent reading. My class has a wide range of reading levels and so these mixed sets would be a perfect addition to our classroom collection.
