I have a classroom of 20 students who are full of life. They move around the room, and love to work away from their desks. They range in ability from special needs, both emotionally and those with learning disabilities to very high achieving and every level in between. They love technology and read aloud books, and generally working on group projects. They love it when they have an opportunity to demonstrate their learning in creative ways. My students have a sweet spirit. They work on practicing the Seven Habits of Happy Kids on a daily basis. I encourage them to be proactive for their own learning. At Christmas we did a mug exchange for our hot chocolate party. One little girl brought in two extra mugs in case someone forgot theirs (and they did), and she traded the mug she got with a boy who received a more girly looking mug that he didn't care for. What a sweetheart.
