My students are all in the gifted program 6th - 8th grade. Many of them are from very poor families with no technology in their homes. Since I am high school certified they are able to get two high school credits when they leave from our middle school. These students want to learn. Many of my students want to be computer engineers, computer designers, video game designers, etc. I want to be able to show them everything out there so they can begin to make decisions about their careers as they move on to high school. Our lab is equipped with computers, but we are in need of software. Our students are having to rely on what is free on the Internet rather than software we are unable to purchase due to a lack of funding. This software could open up a whole new world for these students and allow them to experience their dreams.
