Our students are great! I believe I teach them beyond the textbook and teach them about learning life survival skills for a successful career or academic pathway. They are eager to learn, and are very conscientious about their presentations. We are in a very low income area, but one that is composed of hardworking individuals. They are respectful and honest. In my eight years teaching in this community, I have never had anything missing from my classroom. Students would rather borrow a USB to complete their work to get the better grade, than to be embarrassed. For some, it is difficult to save work and grades are being affected. The reason they do this is that they are having difficulty purchasing a USB. The equipment I am wishing for will eliminate this problem. Class attendance is good, and this is my indicator that they are eager to learn and want to do well. I want to give them the resources needed to be productive and have a positive assessment everyday!
