Reading for College Success is a course provided to tenth grade students at Paxon School for Advanced Studies, a prestigious academic magnet high school in Jacksonville, Florida. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and our class afford us the opportunity to both celebrate our differences and work to have common experiences on a regular basis. Whether discussing controversial current events articles or learning strategies for mastering the SAT or ACT, everything we do is meaningful and focused on expanding students' understanding of themselves and their world. Your support means a great deal to us, not only because of the materials it supplies, but because it reinforces the lesson that there are kind individuals who are willing to help those in need without ever having met them. There is no accounting for the impact the kindness of strangers can have on our lives.
