I teach in a multi-age, Montessori classroom in a large public school district. My students range in age from six to nine and over 70% of the students at our school qualify for free and reduced lunch. My students are energetic, interested in the world, open to new ideas, and enthusiastic about learning. Two of the qualities I like best about this age range are (1) their abundance of curiosity and (2) their overwhelmingly positive attitudes. Both of these are infectious, and I can't imagine teaching any other level.
