My students have developed such a love for reading! It is my goal to provide them with a classroom library that has books that they enjoy and are able to relate to. Each new book that I have purchased for my class has been treated with so much love and care. My students have been so excited every time I bring a new book that they have asked me to create a separate bin labeled "Class Favorites". Each chosen book have been selected by my class, giving them the opportunity to choose, helps them stay motivated and excited to read during our independent reading time. With these new books, my students will not only be able to choose books that interest them but also books that they can relate to and see characters that look like them. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences.
