Kindergarten is getting more and more rigorous each year; my students are meeting these high expectations, but it means they are sitting down more than ever before. To help my students continue to meet the high expectations we are setting for them, and support them to go even farther, we need active seating arrangements to meet each students needs. Our class works on high-level thinking in math, science, writing, engineering, reading, and social-emotional, both in small group (or one-on-one) and whole group. The various seating arrangements will allow students to be focused at the carpet and at their desks/workstations. Kindergarten sets the foundation for students' learning for the rest of their lives! Your donation will help us all to do our best, take ownership of our learning, and create a positive foundation for our school experience. The wobble chairs and ball seats will be options for students to use during independent work or small groups. The wobble cushions will be used both at the carpet, on the floor for small group work, and independently at desks. The portable lap desks will allow students to find a comfortable space in the classroom to work independently. Allowing students to wiggle their bodies the way they need will allow all their brain power to focus on academics and social-emotional skills!
