My students have been devouring all types of text. Curiosity has been ingrained in their brains. They ask for various types of genres that I unfortunately can't all buy. This exposure to various genres (such a myths, fables, legends) and Biographies, have opened my students' eyes to the compassion, grit, and perseverance of many amazing people. Along with that, they have started their interest in the arts, the sciences, and math, as they read more and more about these incredible people. My students have grown a deeper appreciation for the world around them and many believe they too can change the world. I believe that to be true. Therefore, I see these resources (text sets, STEAM workbooks, Biographies) as a way to continue to foster their curiosities. These text sets will continue to inspire my students to think beyond the classroom walls, learn empathy, and nurture their love for learning. These resources will provide my students with practice that is conducive to their academic success.
