Students are not all the same so we should not treat them all the same. I have asked for seats that will allow my kiddos to have more choice in their learning. This will also helps those that need to fidget or bounce. Let's face it no one wants to sit still all day long. Flexible seating allows the kiddos to fidget and move so they can concentrate on learning. It also allows those that need to sit alone by themselves so they can concentrate. Flexible seating is allowing our kiddos to wiggle while working or chose a safe place for them. The kiddos will get several different options for seating. There will be exercise balls to let the kiddos bounce. Wobble seats will allow the kiddos to rock back and forth. The kiddos can sit on the ground at a short table or stand at a desk. There are wobble cushions to allow the kiddos to move while working anywhere in the classroom. There will also be a small couch to let the kiddos sit and collaborate. These options will let the kiddos be kiddos and still learn.
