I am a first-year, third-grade teacher in a Title I school. Over 50% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Our school community is highly diverse, with learners coming from many cultures and backgrounds. My classroom is comprised of creative, self-motivated, and problem-solving learners. Many of my students are English Language Learners and therefore benefit greatly from increased visuals, group collaboration, and vocabulary enrichment. Incorporating kinesthetic learning and choices is instrumental in student learning, as it promotes engagement and self-sufficiency.
