Funding this professional development opportunity will give my students access to digital learning tools that are more aligned to their learning needs and will enhance their literary learning experience for greater outcomes. I will be attending sessions that cover high impact technology integration, becoming a data tracking ninja, building safe online communities in and out of the classroom as well as addressing equitable access for all students, just to name a few. As our society becomes increasingly digitized, there is a need to find balance between effective digital learning tools and their best practices. Because the focus of the conference is on blended learning in a highly digitized society, my students will be able to maximize the best of both worlds, traditional and digital learning, from my attendance of the workshops. These donations will not only help me plan, implement and analyze innovative digital teaching strategies, it will inspire my students to master useful digital learning tools; giving them greater access to 21st Century literacy skills.
