My students are all gifted-identified 8th graders. We are a very diverse population of learners in a school for gifted students grades 3 through 8. We are an urban school with an approximately 70% free and reduced lunch population. Our students are racially, religiously, and culturally diverse, and many are socioeconomically disadvantaged. We have just under 500 students in our school, and 60 currently in the 8th grade. My students are amazing, and deserve this opportunity to develop creatively unique learning products, and show their individuality in their work.
