Our teachers are great at making lessons interesting for students. They bring in materials they have purchased or acquired to add to their lessons. The students really love to have additional materials added to the lessons because they feel that it makes it more memorable. By having picture books to add to lessons, this provides differentiated instruction for students who are more visual learners. Having smaller amounts of text can also give students a foundation to build on while learning meeting the objectives of the class. Because we are a middle school, we do not have many picture books in our collection and having to borrow them from other schools limits the amount of time the teachers can use them for their standards.
