iPads are an integral part of the 21st century classroom, linking students with teaching apps, games, tools, and educational resources beyond our wildest imagination. Apps like Mastery Connect, IXL, Plickers, Quizlet, and Easy CBM allow teachers to progress monitor student growth. While there is no substitute for small group instruction with a loving teacher, iPad stations enable follow-up instruction to flow seamlessly, through quick formative assessment, progress monitoring, and data tracking. Through these apps, iPad programs can quickly be logged-into for students to practice assigned, focus skills. The data is sent to the teacher's laptop, and subsequent or higher levels of the same skill are quickly assigned, either by the program or by the instructor.
