To reach their optimal academic potential my students need to feel at home when they enter our classroom each day. Collaboration is a key life skill that children must develop to engage in 21st-century workplaces and I want to create a classroom environment that promotes this skill. Our school doesn’t have the furniture best suited for development and real-time application of 21st-century skills, so I would like to have furniture options that promote skill-building while also providing interventions for my most active learners. A welcoming classroom environment positions student for optimal academic growth. Students who have furniture options that meet their needs and support skill development are likely to be most successful! By creating a space where students are engaged and feel supported, I will be able to facilitate learning that helps them reach their optimal academic achievement.
