When students come into my room, they come with varied levels of literacy in their native language. During their time here, they are expected to learn to read in English and hopefully reach grade level literacy benchmarks. To help my students reach their goals, I need a library to support their literacy growth. These books and book bins will allow me to create a classroom library that lets my students find a book at their level and a book that interests them. When students read books that are attainable and of high interest, they become invested in reading and want to practice more and more.

About my class
