My students need to visualize strong writing, and learn about the world around them. The goal of this project is to let kids visualize the U.S. through student created written pieces about other places in our country. Students can use this work station to research the physical and economic differences of geographical segments of the United States. Using the Epson printer and ink cartridges, we want to create books, brochures, and other written materials to display on our bulletin boards. These would be great examples of how non-fiction writing should look while providing student opportunities to compare geographic and economic differences to their home town. I hope to not only teach research and writing, but also to inspire students to dream big and visualize their futures on a grander scale than they have now.
