The dance team at our school is growing and developing as we progress from a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) school to STEAM school (Arts included)! Currently, our practice room has no mirrors. We are working hard on becoming a competitive dance team, but we need to build our skills, team synchronicity, and self-confidence. The absence of mirrors in our practice space makes it very difficult for the team to replicate movement accurately, make adjustments, maximize their learning, and feel proud of their performance. Mirrors are a staple piece in any dance studio. Having these mirrors would strengthen our team on so many levels. Our first 6 mirrors have been successfully funded (Thank you!). This project will only fund 1 mirror, while our studio needs 7 mirrors total. We are overjoyed by the kindness of our supporters, and we hope to get our last mirror soon!
