Our school has a diverse population of students. This school is a Title 1 school where all of the students at my school receive free or reduced price lunch. Our school also receives school wide Title 1 funding. Many students come from low-income families or nontraditional homes. My students cherish their opportunity for learning because they want to become successful one day. I believe it is my job to not only teach the students the curriculum, but also teach them to love learning. In my classroom, I encourage students to develop social skills, build a community, and engage in their learning. I know that what my students learn now will impact them for a lifetime.
