I strive to provide real life experiences in my biotechnology and anatomy labs. This is why I use lab equipment found in industry research labs. I want to provide for them the best laboratory experience possible. One very important piece of equipment we are missing is an orbital shaker. It allows for optimal growth of bacterial specimens, cell culturing, cell aeration, and solubility studies, all of which are important in my students' success in the laboratory, when conducting their experiments. In my classes, quality work along with good lab practices are emphasized. without the right equipment, students may not get optimal results. The orbital shaker is one piece of equipment that can greatly improve the results of our experiments.
