Students coming to my classroom are typically one to two years behind in reading. I work with small groups of four to five students at each grade level, from Kindergarten through fifth grade. While many of them bring supplies for use in their classrooms, they can’t afford the extra items required for my class. We especially need lots of Post-It® notes for our daily reading instruction, to leave notes on specific pages as we read. We use journals and pencils to write about the text. Scissors, glue sticks, dry erase markers, and crayons are used for daily word work that ensures students are introduced to vocabulary to be successful reading the day's text. Your donation will improve instruction for these very enthusiastic learners. Please help them to become lifelong readers!
